Read with interest your story on unlicensed contractors being busted.

This is of interest to legitimate contractors everywhere, however, I do not see and have not seen one
article anywhere, in any publication, that gives favorable mention to the contractors who slug it out
every day in a tough business.

Contractors already know that unlicensed contractors hurt the business, but reports of this nature

Remember, just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If someone mentions to you they have an environmental illness, sickbuilding syndrome, multiple chemical senstivity or mold poisoning, take them serious. Most who suffer from such illnesses already feel hesitant to talk about it because people often look at us like we have a big spot on our forehead. Surely, we are making a great big deal out of some little allergy! Nothing could be further from the truth.

FDA Issues Public Health Advisory for Trasylol

The Food and Drug Administration today issued a Public Health Advisory alerting doctors who perform heart bypass surgery, and their patients, that Trasyolol (aprotinin injection), a drug used to prevent blood loss during surgery, has been linked in two scientific publications to higher risks of serious side effects including kidney problems, heart attacks and strokes in patients who undergo artery bypass graft surgery.

RUBIDOUX - TXI Riverside Cement Co is responsible for elevated levels of hexavalent chromium in the air and received violations on April 14 and 20.

Erin Brockovich and the Los Angeles-area law firms Masry and Vititoe, and Girardi and Keese will be holding a community meeting today at the Marriott Hotel in Riverside geared to setting up a system for the residents to air their concerns.

Residents of the nearby El Rivino Road Apartments believe emissions from the plant are responsible for local health problems.

Residents complain of bloody noses, body rashes, sores and 16 cases of cancer within a mile of the cement company.
