"My name is Iris. My husband, Tommy Lee, and I are lifelong musicians-songwriters. We're diagnosed with mycotoxicosis (mold poisoning). It's a continuing and bizarre journey we never could have imagined. We miraculously have survived thus far and were married on Feb.19th, 2007. Mold related illness is an incredibly uphill battle. Our photos demonstrate the horrible reality of how serious this can be. Like us, many with systemic mold infections experience chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, hearing loss, neurological effects, dry or bloodshot eyes; dry hair and skin; severe abdominal cramps, a squeezing tightness or burning in chest, low (or high) blood pressure; low body temperature; out of the norm headaches; tiny painless blood blisters on skin; unusual dental problems; an endless list of adverse health effects. No two people have the exact symptoms, as we're all genetically unique and our exposure levels vary. We hope our story creates a public awareness. We miss our music studio so much. But we pray our songs bring you hope, inspiration, truth & maybe even some laughter. God is our only refuge. We're trying to rebuild our lives & get the proper treatment protocol. We have compassion for anyone facing mold illness. You are not alone! Thanks to all who have contacted us. We're always here, even if you just need someone to talk to or prayer. We also appreciate your support during this most difficult time. Mainly don't let ANYONE tell you mold cannot make you sick. We are living dying proof that indeed it can make you VERY sick or even cause death if left untreated. Don't let your children or your own health be harmed by toxic mold. God bless you all.
